Studies have shown that this technology equips physicians in evaluation of skin cancer. The device has a sensitivity of 96%, with performance on par with physician assessment.

The device helps to avoid unnecessary referrals and enhances patient access in continuity of care.

The process starts with the physician assessing whether any of the skin lesions have features suggestive of skin cancer, for which testing with DermaSensor may be appropriate.

For lesions suggestive of skin cancer, the device is used to analyze the lesion to provide an objective cancer risk result to assist a patient’s physician in making a management decision.
